In their Q1 FY24 results, revenue increased 15% YOY to $9.37 billion. Operating income skyrocketed 54% YOY to $2.63 billion, largely driven by marketing and product innovation. Management has guided strong revenue growth and profitability in FY24, as well as operating margin expansion in Q2 of 2024.

Spotify (NYSE:SPOT) is one of the best streaming stocks to own over the next decade. The company has redefined digital music streaming, and holds more than 30% market share in the music streaming space.

Spotify is currently the world’s largest music streaming platform, boasting more than 600 million MAUs. Apart from dominating the music streaming space, Spotify is becoming the leading platform for the hosting of podcasts. Exclusive deals with popular figures like Joe Rogan and investments in original podcast content continues to attract a growing user base. Apart from the company’s growing leadership in exclusive audio content, their financial metrics continue to trend in the right direction. In Q1 FY24, revenue increased 20% YOY to $3.6 billion. Operating margin expanded by 243 basis points to 27.6%, with operating income at a record high of $168 million. Additionally, premium MAUs and premium subscribers grew 19% and 14% YOY, respectively.
