Top Trending NFTs: Week of Oct. 5

Investing News

The non-fungible token (NFT) world continues to evolve, with investors looking for new collections to create returns in a bear market. This week, DoDoor, Kitaro World, and Renga Black Box are among the top trending NFT collections.

Key Takeaways

  • Kitaro World surged 1,270% in value over the past week after combining web2 and web3 ideas for its drops, or new project releases.
  • DoDoor’s creation features 1,000 dodo birds, and prices soared by 333%.
  • Soccer has a huge global fan base, so the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) wants to capitalize on this with its new Genesis drop.

Kitaro World

The Kitaro World collection features 7,777 storytelling NFTs, with different characters exploring multiverses in an adventure to discover their ancestry. The project’s sales volume has grown by 1,270% in the last seven days to $2.33 million.

The project says it wants to bridge the worlds of Web2 and Web3 by building a real world first before moving further into Web3. Next month it will deliver an augmented reality coloring book featuring the NFT’s avatars. The first chapter of the Kitaro World theme is called “The Enchanted Forest,” set in 1600 B.C. Japan.

DoDoor NFT

The DoDoor NFT project has surged 333% in volume over the last week with $1.3 million in total sales on marketplace OpenSea. This is a collection of 1,000 quirky cartoon dodo birds created by the Unlimited Dimension team. The birds will fly in their own UDverse, which is said to be a shelter for species such as the dodos so they can avoid being poached. The development team is currently working on a second project, a game-fi DoDoor MEMO game, and holders of DoDoor will have access and can win the second-project NFTs.

SolDough

Over the last week, sales of this NFT collection have increased by more than 300%. SolDough is a collection of 1,375 randomly generated cartoon donuts released on the Solana network. A SolDough Market mini-collection of 200 NFTs was released to the community ahead of the SolDough drop and is already sold out. SolDough is now planning a public launch of its SolDough collection Dec. 3, 2022. The team is made up of individuals who were investors in major Solana projects, such as Solana Monkey Business, Solsteads, Thugbirz, and others.

Renga Black Box

Renga Black Box is the latest collection from the Renga Factory, which previously launched a $10 million-selling Art of Seasons collection that was airdropped to its holders. The Black Box NFTs are a collection of spinning black cubes that can be opened to reveal a mystery character from another realm. The project has logged $1.7 million in sales over the last seven days with a 275% gain
volume. The top-selling Renga Black Box went for $57,600 over last week with the average price being $5,200.

FIFA Genesis

FIFA is the international governing body of soccer. It has just jumped on the collectibles bandwagon with its inaugural Sept. 22, 2022, Genesis drop. The Algorand blockchain powers the FIFA collectible platform and more than 78,000 packs already have been claimed. Each features three video clips of international soccer highlights from past FIFA World Cups. Soccer-related drops can benefit from a huge fan base, with 3.7 billion people watching the 2018 World Cup Final, for example. Each Genesis pack was selling for $4.99 and the platform will soon have a marketplace to trade valuable collections.
